Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) arrested four citizens and seized two peñeros linked to drug trafficking, in Zulia state, used to traffic drugs on the Cojoro-Falcón route.
The information was released by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, who through his account on the social network Twitter, explained that the peñeros, linked to drug trafficking on the Cojoro- Falcon, they have 75 Hp engines.
“In the state Zulia #FANB detains 4 subjects and seizes 2 peñeros with 75 Hp engines, linked to drug trafficking, who controlled the Cojoro-Falcón route, Hernández Lárez posted on Twitter.
The FANB remains vigilant and alert to any action by groups linked to drug trafficking, as part of its operations to guarantee the country’s sovereignty.
“Venezuela is a territory of peace! Structures used as criminal fronts by armed paramilitary drug trafficking groups will not be allowed,” said the Head of Ceofanb.
Illegal merchandise smuggling
On the other hand, the Bolivarian National Armed Force continues to be deployed on the country’s borders, to detect the illegal smuggling of merchandise.
«FANB deployed in the unauthorized steps (trails), combating the illegal smuggling of merchandise that seeks to evade customs control in border states,” Hernández Lárez said on Twitter.
