The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) destroyed an aircraft belonging to the Colombian Armed Narcotrafficking Terrorist group (TANCOL) after having violated the airspace during the night hours while flying low.
The information was released by the strategic operational commander of the FANB (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, who pointed out that the plane was on an unauthorized runway with “improvised night beaconing”, where it tried to take off and outwit the FANB in a low flight.
“The biggest light is the plane burning after being shot down by the FANB,” Lárez said on Twitter, where he shared a video of the plane on fire.
He asserted that the “airplanes, runways, machinery, barges, and TANCOL structures on the cross-border axis will be destroyed” in the national territory.
“Our sovereignty must be respected and we will make ourselves respected according to our constitutional laws. The laws help us and protect us », he added.
He indicated that the Armed Forces “in zone, route and area reconnaissance work” scrutinize each quadrant of the national geography to “destroy, capture and expel any TANCOL group along with its structures that have infiltrated” the country.
“It is unbelievable to see how from Colombia they do not stop speaking ill of Venezuela to confuse the community, blaming us for their faults and evils, producers, processors, terrorist explosives and invaders. We refer to the evidence », he emphasized.
TANCOL explosive devices
Hernández Lárez also indicated that the FANB continues “deactivating improvised explosive devices placed on the roads,” which violates “the sovereignty and freedom of the nation.”
“FANB sappers and bombers are disabling deadly devices to protect the population,” he added.
He highlighted that in a hidden gallery forest, explosives experts from the FANB detected and destroyed “initiating chemical materials in cocaine processing.”
“Everything Made in Colombia: 5,000 liters of Acetone, 500 liters of Sulfuric Acid, 2,000 kg of Caustic Soda, 200 liters of Hydrochloric Acid,” he explained.
For months, the FANB has intensified combat efforts against TANCOL groups in border states. On Wednesday, three women who provided logistics and ammunition to these groups were captured by agents of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
