FANB disabled illegal mining camp in Parque Caura

In effective patrolling and environmental protection tasks of the Combat Rapid Reaction Unit (Urra), attached to the Integral Defense Operational Zone (Zodi) Sucre, of the National Armed Forces (FANB), located and disabled a logistics camp with materials used for environmental depredation in the Caura National Park of Bolívar state.

The information was released by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez through his Twitter account. From the network, he specified that the military found water pumps, chainsaws, electric hammers, high-pressure hoses, wooden sieves, pipes, among other materials to commit illegal mining actions.

Faced with this discovery and subsequent disabling of the camp, the Chief of Ceofanb stressed that “Venezuela is a State of law, justice and national sovereignty”, for which the FANB remains a guarantor of environmental protection.

“It is a civic duty protect nature and national ecosystems#FANB will guarantee compliance with the popular will and our CRBV”, reiterated Hernández Lárez.

In this way, the FANB remains active and in combat against irregular groups that intend to commit actions that threaten the country’s ecosystem.

On repeated occasions, the head of Ceofanb, Domingo Hernández Lárez, indicates that “National Parks, Natural Monuments and Forest Reserves are protected areas of the State, natural depredation is prohibited. It is a citizen duty to take care of the natural environment and biodiversity”.
