Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) detected between Mérida and Carabobo a total of 52 panels of suspected marijuana, transferred by the group of Armed Terrorist Drug Traffickers of Colombia (Tancol), through the Mucuruba and Taborda checkpoints, respectively.
The information was released by the head of the Strategic Operational Command of the FANB (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, through Twitter, where he specified: “In the Mucuruba sales tax in the state of Mérida, 11 panels of alleged TANCOL Marijuana were detected from from Colombia”; while “in the PAC TABORDA, Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state, they arrested three (03) TANCOL collaborators, who were secretly transporting forty-one (41) panelas of marijuana weighing 19,715 Kg.”
In this sense, the Commander of Ceofanb reiterated that “Venezuela will not be used as a platform for Colombian drugs”; while he said: “We will make ourselves respected, these phenomena are not ours!!”, he stressed.
On the other hand, in scrutiny work, and in compliance with the Vuelvan Caras operations, the FANB detected 800 liters of hydrochloric acid in the undergrowth on the banks of the Arauca River, El Muerto sector, Páez municipality.
“FANB, complying with the operations order Vuelvan Caras, with the mission of expelling the TANCOLs and fighting drug trafficking head-on, was detected in the undergrowth on the banks of the Arauca River, El Muerto sector, mcpio. Páez, 800 liters of hydrochloric acid”, explained Hernández Lárez.
For the Commander of Ceofanb, Venezuela is a zone of peace and therefore “facilities that have military purposes cannot be established. All kinds of foreign narco-terrorist installations and invasions that threaten our national sovereignty will be destroyed and eliminated.”
The FANB continues to exercise sovereignty in the national territory, which is why it maintains operations at the borders, to eliminate all kinds of instruments, tracks and terrorist material from the Tancol groups.
“FANB continues to exercise sovereignty throughout our cross-border axis, disabling illegal tracks built by the TANCOLs to extract their products through our territory. They will be rooted out!!”, said Hernández Lárez.
The Bolivarian Shield Operation 2022 Vuelvan Caras has been deployed since January of this year in the border region, in order to expel the Tancol groups from the country and thereby neutralize their terrorist actions.
