FAN seized 750 kilos of chemicals to be used in alleged drug trafficking acts

The head of the Strategic Operational Command of the National Armed Forces (Ceofan), G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported on Saturday, August 20, that the members of the National Armed Forces (FAN) managed to seize 750 kilos of alleged chemical material that would be used for drug trafficking.

Although the message does not indicate it, the photos that accompany his message in Twitter They reveal that the operation was carried out in the state of Táchira and that at least one person was arrested in the act. However, she did not say what kind of chemicals were seized. The images reveal it to be baking soda.

Hernández Lárez also reported on a procedure for the seizure of military supplies and firearms of different caliber, although he did not specify where the arrest of two people linked to this event took place. In the photos you can see that uniforms, boots, a cell phone were recovered; some shotguns and bullets.

The photo indicates that five people were arrested, including a woman.

But, as in all other actions, it does not provide additional details. In the publication it says: “Only the State may possess weapons of war, ammunition and explosives!”

On Thursday, August 18, G/J Hernández Lárez announced that “improvised” illegal runways were destroyed in Amazonas state, which were allegedly used for drug trafficking and illegal mining. He also indicated that airplane gasoline was seized in this procedure, without going into details of what was seized or if there were people detained.

The Venezuelan ruler Nicolás Maduro, on Thursday, July 2, made a balance of the Bolivarian Shield Operation 2022, where he reported on the dismantling of at least 200 irregular camps found in the country.

From the command post of the Ministry of Defense, the national president specified that 257 structures have been disabled, of which 202 correspond to camps where homemade explosives and bombs were manufactured; another 32 for logistics and 23 laboratories for drug processing, especially cocaine.
