The deterioration of democracy in the region hurts. From the manipulation of the elections in Bolivia, we move on to the alleged self-coup by Pedro Castillo in Peru and the assault on the main institutions of power in Brazil, by Bolsonaro fanatics who do not admit Luiz Inácio Da Silva’s victory at the polls. The worst thing is that these behaviors, at odds with the law and with a system that has been sacred in the world, have support and seek to justify them in the countries where they occur. This shows that it is urgent to strengthen democratic values, because when democracy is violated, governments become authoritarian and capable of any barbarity. We already experienced it between the 70s and the early 80s. It is absurd that the conditions are created to repeat those painful chapters of history.

The reactions were mostly censorship, but having the idea of organizing something like this reflects that values have been disrupted. She happened in Mexico, but it must be remembered that in Bolivia there was a girl who answered that she wanted to be a drug trafficker, when she was questioned by María Galindo a few months ago. It is a dangerous deterioration that demands to review what is talked about or what is watched on TV and social networks
