The Brazilian government will send to Poland, next Monday (7), a Brazilian Air Force (FAB) plane to repatriate Brazilians who left Ukraine in recent days, fleeing the consequences of the Russian military invasion.
The initial forecast is that the KC-390 Millenniun multi-mission aircraft will depart from the Brasília Air Base on Monday afternoon, bound for Warsaw, where Brazilian citizens will board according to definitions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which coordinates the rescue mission. together with the Ministry of Defence.
On the outbound flight, 11.5 tons of humanitarian aid material will be transported to be donated by Brazil. The forecast is that the KC-390 will return to Brazil next Thursday (10), in the morning.
In addition to this aircraft, another FAB plane is prepared to, if necessary, participate in the rescue mission. The two planes are of the same model already used in other international humanitarian missions, such as the transport of Brazilian donations to the victims of the explosion in Beirut, in 2020, and the emergency support to Haiti after the earthquake that occurred in
