The Departmental Prosecutor’s Office quantified the economic damage caused to the country by the illegal departure of the Indian citizen Amit Dixit with 331 kilos of gold, which had been seized in December 2020, at more than 60 million dollars.

There are three processes and surely there will be detainees because economic damage of more than 60 million dollars was generated,” said departmental prosecutor William Alave in statements to Unitel.

The representative of the Public Ministry indicated that at the time it was warned that it was an “aberration”, handing over 331 kilos of gold to Dixit, the processes were annulled, but when he went to look for the metal, it could no longer be found. for the flight of the Indian citizen.

Where he was able to leave the country illegally is being investigated.

Senarecom reported that it filed a lawsuit against former prosecutor Héctor Ángel García, for delivering the gold to Dixit and also for nullifying the lawsuit filed against the Goldshine firm for exporting the irregular metal in 2020.
