Executive Power orders extradition for drug trafficking

The Executive Branch ordered yesterday the delivery in extradition to the United States of the Dominicans Ramona Cruz, by Juan R. Corniel, alias and Alexandro de la Rosawho were wanted accused of committing crimes in that nation.

The provision is in decrees 417-22, 418-22 and 419-22 signed by President Luis Abinader.

They establish that extradited persons have their rights respected in terms of the reason for extradition.

A Ramona Cruz They accuse him of conspiring to possess 500 grams or more of cocaine “with the intention of distributing them in the United States.”

Juan Corniel is accused of criminal association to distribute five kilograms of a mixture and substance with a detectable amount of cocaine and Alexandro de la Rosa has four charges of drug trafficking.

They must now face these charges in courts of the North American nation.

“Importing into the United States, from a foreign location, five kilograms or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine, as well as attempted possession with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine.”
