Entrepreneurs from Ibero-America will meet in the DR

The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Víctor Bisonó, valued the event.

The Alliance for Ibero-America Business Council (CEAPI) announced the fifth edition of its Innovation and Opportunities Congress in times of uncertainty.
The first level event will bring together company presidents and main business leaders from Ibero-America, addressing issues of business leadership, the challenges of recent years and the future scenarios they face, as well as the impact of digital transformation on the economic and investment decision making.

The meeting, which for the first time leaves European territory and arrives in the country through the Analysis Center for Public Policies, will take place on June 1 and 2, and will include the participation of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes, Víctor -Ito-Bisonó.

Minister Bisonó valued the celebration of this conclave as an important opportunity for the Dominican Republic to put in perspective the guarantees for the development of investments, an example of this being the alliances to facilitate commercial exchange with Panama and Costa Rica, and the level of stability and confidence of foreign investors in the policies promoted by the government.

The president of CEAPI, Núria Vilanova, stated that the purpose is to create a space for debate and meeting to offer networking and investment opportunities. “The objective of this meeting is to initiate processes in which the collaboration of companies and institutions accelerate the economic recovery of the region, based on innovation, digital transformation and new business models,” Vilanova said. Some of the institutional representatives who have confirmed their attendance at the V CEAPI Congress are José María Aznar, former President of the Government of Spain and president of the FAES Foundation; Andrés Allamand, general secretary of SEGIB; Enrique V. Iglesias, honorary president of CEAPI; Ana Botella, former mayor of Madrid and executive president of the Integra Foundation; Gema Sacristán, General Director of Business at IDB Invest, among other important leaders.
