This Tuesday, January 3, the registration period for the Academic Recovery Program began for those students from seventh to twelfth grade who have failed up to 3 subjects.
This year, at least in the province of Coclé, parents must bear the cost of these rehabilitations.
In this province from January 10 to February 9, the recovery will begin and the cost per subject will be $7, as revealed by Marianela Gómez, director of the Ministry of Education in Coclé, who assured that they still do not have the balance of the students failed but keep collecting statistics.
“During the previous two years the cost has been assumed by the Ministry of Education, but for this year parents must pay the cost of the subjects failed by their children,” he said.
He explained that for this year in Penonomé, the IPT Leonila Pinzón de Grimaldo was designated to serve all high school students, while high school students will be attended at the Federico Zúñiga school.
In the Antón district, it will be the Manuel Patiño Educational Center; while in the district of Natá in the Mariano Prado school for students from the area of La Pintada and Olá. In aguadulce the Educational Center of Pocrí.
In the province of Veraguas, the Regional Director of Meduca, Milka Barsallo, said that the process will also begin on January 10 and that 8 educational centers will be available to carry out this academic recovery.
In the district of Soná it will be at the José Bonifacio Alvarado School, the Urraca Institute, at the IPOT, the Veraguas IPT, at the Jesús Hector Gallego IPT, at the Juan José Cano School, at the Juan Demóstenes Arosemena Normal School and at the Jose Santo Puga.
