Engell Melody is an urban music singer who has been well known on social networks both for his talent and for some trouble related to influencers in Barranquilla.
In particular, a loan of 12 million pesos that he made to a young woman from Soledad and that, according to what he said, “he did not want to return them.”
This situation was a scandal in the city since there were discussions and “encounters” both on the street and in some shopping centers in La Arenosa.

Today, the singer was in the news again because of a video in which he reappreciated from another country, letting his followers know why he decided to “leave Colombia.”
According to his story, the young businessman and singer received some intimidating calls and had to leave the country, he and his family.
“We were being victims of extortion,” confessed the Barranquillero.
The urban music singer revealed that for this he had to sell both his business and his car.
«Underselling the business on 38 and in the Prado was not easy. It is not easy that you have to flee because they have to kill you », she expressed sadly.
Melody said that she reported these threats she was receiving to the corresponding entities.
He went to a state entity and after leaving there, he states that half an hour after making the complaint, a strange person called him telling him not to pay him the extortion anymore “that they were going to kill him.”
“They told me that they already knew that I had reported them,” he said.
Melody claimed in the video that the Colombian State, as she said, “did not provide them with security.”
In turn, he stated that despite paying the “vaccine” to the criminal gang so that it would not retaliate against him, he received a phone call from another criminal organization.
“Since you are financing them, then we are going to kill you,” he said. “So what do I do?” the young man wondered.
The only solution that the singer and his family had was to leave the country and travel to the United States.
From the North American country, the singer made this complaint to explain to his followers the reason for his absence in Barranquilla.
Now, he and his family are in the process of seeking asylum in the USA: “We are in the asylum process because they did not provide us with any type of security in Colombia,” said the singer from Barranquilla.
