Today 555 new cases of COVID were registered in the country, 39 in Cologne

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6,175 tests were carried out and 555 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 555 new cases, 288 are from Montevideo, 73 from Canelones, 39 from Colonia, 27 from Cerro Largo, 19 from San José, 17 from Maldonado, 16 from Durazno, 12 from Flores, 11 from Lavalleja, 11 from Rivera, 10 from Florida, 9 from Salto, 6 from Treinta y Tres, 4 from Rocha, 4 from Tacuarembó, 3 from Paysandú, 3 from Río Negro, 2 from Soriano and 1 from Artigas.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 6,059,168 tests have been processed and 893,009 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 881,881 have already recovered.

Today, 2 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were registered in our country (detailed table is attached). So far there are 7,181 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 3,947 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 33 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 20,063 correspond to health personnel. 19,891 of them have already recovered, 142 are suffering from the disease and 30 have died.

To date, all departments register active cases.
