The Embassy of Israel regretted that “some deputies have adopted the Narrative that the Palestinians use against Israel”, as expressed in a statement this Friday. It is after the extraordinary session by the Solidarity Day with the Palestinian People which was held in the House of Representatives this Wednesday.
For the diplomatic headquarters the descriptions used, “they have little to do with the reality that is lived” in the region. And he stated: “Our nation is constantly attacked by terrorist groups Palestinians such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad. These attacks, through bombings and the launching of thousands of rockets indiscriminately against our civilian population, seek to kill Israelis.”
The embassy indicated in the letter that “the State of Israel has the right and duty to defend its citizens,” and that “Israel seeks to achieve peace with its neighbors, just as it has done with Egypt and Jordan, and in the last two years with Morocco, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates”.
In this regard, he said: “Unfortunately the Palestinians continue to reject peace, as they did on November 29, 1947 when they refused United Nations Resolution 181 that proposed a Jewish State and an Arab State.”
