Everything is almost ready for delivery of Phase 1 of the City of Health, according to the authorities, the delivery date is maintained for July 12.
“We are already doing tests, which means that by July 12 we will be able to meet that date, because it is a building that is practically ready to be occupied, we are just waiting for the medical equipment and furniture so that it can be started up”, said Rogelio Robles Project Manager Ciudad de la Salud, noting that they already have several pieces of equipment that have been installed.
For his part, the National Director of Engineering of the Comptroller General, José Vence, during an inspection of the construction of the facilities and equipment of the 4-G building – Cardiovascular and Thoracic Institute, said that they are here to guarantee that the contractor complies with the dates delivery and that the work is available to the Panamanian people, quickly and well done.
During the tour, it was confirmed that the hospital campus has no flaws that could compromise its opening, and that the quality standards used are adequate for delivery on July 12.
The Panamanian consortium in charge of this work is Construcciones Hospitalarias SA, which is made up of the companies Constructora Riga Service, SA, Aprocosa (Construction Project Administration SA) and CMG (Construction Management Group, SA).
The engineer Fernanda Billard, Administrative Coordinator of the Health City Project of the CSS, placed a significant advance of civil works, electromechanical and electrical system at 92% in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Institute. “We are here to guarantee that deliveries are fulfilled in time, cost and quality. In fact, the delivery of the Cardiovascular Institute is ahead of the agreed times, as well as the Institute of Nephrology and Urology, which will be delivered earlier than agreed,” Billard assured during the inspection.
