The district offices of the Electoral Justice will promote a campaign to update data from the Permanent Civic Registry (RCP) in educational institutions, which will be aimed at students who are beneficiaries of the Automatic Enrollment Law.
During a working day with officials from the TSJE, the Special Commission for the Implementation of Technology for the Voting and Counting System reported on the next activities to be promoted ahead of the 2023 general elections.
This is the Campaign to Update Data in the Permanent Civic Registry (RCP), which will be carried out by the different district offices of the electoral body.
This campaign will be implemented in educational institutions and will be aimed at students who are beneficiaries of Law No. 4559/12 on Automatic Enrollment in the RCP.
The Director of Updating and Debugging of the RCP, Marizol González, announced that visits will be made to several schools to register and update the data of the young students of Secondary Education who will turn 18 years of age until April 29, 2023 and who already they are in the RCP as future voters.
The Special Commission urged the Departmental Coordinators throughout the country to use the audiovisual materials prepared by the Electoral Justice Department of Press and Publicity to give greater visibility to the campaign, which will run until May 31.
It is expected that the administrative cut of the Permanent Civic Registry will take place on May 31, so the registrations until that date will be valid for the preparation of the National Register, in order to be used in the 2023 elections.
