Panamanian fighter Luis “El Nica” Concepción failed in his attempt to win a world title again.
“El Nica”, 36, lost this Saturday by technical knockout to 34-year-old Ukrainian Artem Dalakian, who managed to retain the fly scepter of the World Boxing Association (WBA).
The fight was stopped in the ninth round at the request of the Panamanian corner, given the broad superiority that Dalakian showed.
The Ukrainian showed a lot of agility, while the Panamanian had difficulty landing good shots.
In the fifth round, “El Nica” fell twice. Henceforth, Dalakian dominance was evident.
This meeting took place in Kiev (Ukraine) and was scheduled for 12 rounds.
The referee was the German Oliver Brien, while the appointed judges were: Manuel Palomo from Spain, Steffano Carozza from Italy and José Roberto Torres from Puerto Rico.
