Education with Direction: Judicial Power admitted amparo to create an educational council

Education Con Rumbo recalled today that it had filed an injunction to request the SEP authorities to guarantee the human right of children to education, as well as the participation of parents.

“The foregoing, since to date the educational authorities have failed to install the National Council for School Participation in Education, which is established in a mandatory manner in terms of article 135 of the General Education Law,” he explained.

Paulina Amozurrutia, national coordinator of Education with Rumbo, specified that the protection presented “is an effort by civil society to open channels of communication, dialogue and collaboration between parents, teachers and specialists and the SEP that allow society organized civil society to be co-responsible for education in Mexico”.

“With the foregoing, the academic and socio-emotional development of children will be privileged after the delay and impact derived from the pandemic, beyond ideologies and political decisions,” he added.
