The Ministry of Education began this Tuesday the first call for the National Tests corresponding to the 2021-2022 school year in more than 2,000 educational centers.
The exams, which will last until the 15th, began at 10:00 in the morning with the participation of 104,870 high school students.
José Sánchez Encarnación, director of National Tests of the Ministry of Educationstated that the evaluations went smoothly.
“I received the report from all the regional directorates and the educational districts of the country that indicate that the process developed as we had anticipated,” he said.

These are the first national tests after the coronavirus pandemic forced school campuses to close in 2020.
For this call, 22 students who did high school in the 90s and who now decided to take the tests were included.
The 14,805 students of the adult modality will be examined from the 16th to the 24th of this, at 9:00 in the morning.
This test system, which is applied at the end of the secondary level in all its modalities and the middle and basic level of education for young people and adults, has a value of 30% of the student’s final grade for promotion, 70 Remaining % is the average grade sent by the educational center.
The National Tests are established in the General Education Law No. 66-97 and are currently regulated by Ordinance 1-2016.
Sánchez Encarnación said that these exams fulfill the double function of objectively certifying and reporting on the performance of students as an indicator of the quality of the educational system.
Its application was suspended in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years due to the covid-19 pandemic, which forced the closure of educational centers and the implementation of the distance education modality.
This year, the situation of the pandemic improved and when returning to face-to-face classes, the regulations are resumed.
Sánchez Encarnación recalled that the Ministry of Education adopts measures for the security of tests.
