EDESUR signs agreement with CNCS to protect customer data

The company Dominican EDESUR and the National Cyber ​​Security Center (CNCS) signed an agreement with the purpose of protect from cyber attacks the internal and external data of the electricity distributor, and therefore protect sensitive information of clients and the company.

yesall critical public services of EDESUR were integratedjust like him Security Operations Center (SOC)which coordinates the prevention and protection against this type of crime, said the general director of Edesur, Milton Morrison.

Morrison highlighted the importance of working hand in hand with the National Cybersecurity Center to take care of the data of all our clients from all cybercrime .

For his part, the president of the CNCS, Juan Gautreaux, congratulated Edesur for being the first electricity distributor to sign the agreement to shield itself from attacks.

The signing was made within the framework of the agreement of critical infrastructure protection. For its execution, a cybersecurity awareness campaign will be launched so that all EDESUR collaborators are oriented, and join the fight against this scourge whose cases have increased in the world.

Also participating in this meeting were the director of information technology EDESUR, Jose Flores; and Omar de los Santos, director of Strategic Coordination of CNCS.

The National Cyber ​​Security Center is an entity dedicated to the development of cybersecurityto the strengthening of the digital confidence of the Dominican user, and to the protection of the critical and technological infrastructure of the Dominican State.
