Following his two-day working visit to the UK, FrResident Ivan Duque began a tour of meetings in Turkey, which will take place this Friday and Saturday.

The president met with the President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a meeting in which the agenda focused on the main issues of the bilateral agenda and issues of trade, investment, security, technical cooperation, migration, culture and education.
After the private meeting, two leaders and their delegations signed a cooperation agreement in health and vaccine production between the health portfolios of both countries, focused on the exchange of good practices for the national production of vaccines, strengthening of health and public health systems, and health services in case of emergency or catastrophe, among others.
A cooperation agreement on education was also reached between the Ministry of Education of Colombia and the Higher Education Council of Turkey, which aims to promote mechanisms for generating spaces for academic and scientific exchanges andbetween the higher education institutions of both parties, and a cooperation protocol between the General Archive of the Nation of Colombia and the Directorate of the State Archives of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.

During his visit, the president also met with Nail Olpak, Chairman of the Turkish Foreign Relations Board (DEIK), and held a meeting with Turkish businessmen, a space organized by ProColombia and the Turkish Embassy in order to promote the interest of international investors in the country.
