A motorist who was told to stop at a checkpoint in San Antonio disobeyed the order and also hit the Highway Patrol agent. The driver managed to flee and the uniformed man was hospitalized.
The incident occurred this Friday night on departmental route D068 in the María Auxiliadora neighborhood, on San Antonio Avenue, when a vehicle passed through the control barrier and agent Carlos Cantero told the driver to stand to one side.
The motorist not only ignored the instruction, but also ran over the inspector, who fell to the asphalt and suffered severe blows, mainly to the head.
The subject managed to flee and was even fortunate that the other agents were unable to write down the data on the badge. However, they will try to get information through the cameras in the area.
The inspector, for his part, was transferred to a care center, where he was hospitalized, according to his colleagues.
