The trajectory of Brazilian photography is revealed in the unprecedented documentary photographyfilm that TV Brazil track debut Cine DOC this Sunday (21), at 11 pm. Directed by Lauro Escorel, the national film traces an overview of photography in the country from its advent to the present day.
With moving testimonies and incredible archival images, the work brings an excerpt about the work of the main names in this art and addresses the impact of new technologies and digital photography on contemporary society. Famous characters in the image
The documentary on display in the program of TV Brazil presents the first photographers to work in the country, still in the 19th century, such as Marc Ferrez and Augusto Malta. The film also goes through the photographic records of the modernist Mário de Andrade.
The highlight of the production, however, is the investigation of the work developed by important professionals involved in the practice of modern photography. The proposal is to investigate the details of the work of icons such as Hildegard Rosenthal, José Medeiros, Marcel Gautherot, Pierre Verger and Maurren Bisiliat.
