Dncd occupies about 138 thousand grams of cocaine

Dncd ocupa unos 138 mil gramos de cocaína

Santo Domingo.- As part of the actions to stop and combat the micro-trafficking of narcotic cocaine, the National Directorate for Drug Control (Dncd) and members of the Public Ministry, seized more than 138 thousand grams of different drugs, in joint operations carried out during the Month of May.

In details, the authorities, carried out more than a thousand operations and raids nationwide, managed to seize 41,679 grams of cocaine, 95,632 of marijuana, 1,444 of crack, 496 ecstasy pills, for a total of 138,758 grams of different drugs.

In the interdiction operations against micro-trafficking, some 1,565 people were arrested and 18 pistols, 38 white weapons and ten communication radios were also seized.

They also seized 514 cell phones, 95 scales, 137 motors, eight cars, 2,337,191 pesos, 6,048 dollars, scissors, covers, strainers, among other evidence.

The Public Ministry and the Dncd have reinforced operations against the micro-trafficking of controlled substances, managing to remove thousands of portions of different drugs from the streets and arresting dozens of individuals accused of violating Law 50-88.
