Establishing the priorities framed in the “Great Peace Quadrants Mission”, police officers attached to the Police Coordination Center No. 4 of the town of Mantecal, Muñoz municipality in Apure state, dismantled a gang dedicated to the theft of cattle.
In citizen security patrol work, following a complaint filed by a citizen who owns the “El Manguito” Fund, located in the town of Mantecal, two (2) citizens were apprehended and ten (10) bovine livestock were recovered.
The perpetrators of the act and the cattle were transported in a truck-type motor vehicle, brand: JAC, model: HFX1061/LARGO, livestock cage type, license plate: A75BA8V, heading towards the town of Elorza, Rómulo Gallegos municipality.
The case was brought to the order of the 5th Prosecutor of the Public Ministry, for being involved in one of the crimes contemplated in the Criminal Law for the Protection of Livestock Activity.
“The investigations are still in process according to the requirements of our higher authorities, Governor Eduardo Piñate and Secretary of Citizen Security, Nelson Romero, who have held previous meetings with the different livestock unions for the purpose of carrying out this type of operation that gives protection to livestock production in the area” indicated Col. Frank Freites Domínguez, General Director of the Bolivarian State Police.
The regional police have received instructions from superiors for the deployment of more than 1,000 officials in the seven municipalities and 26 parishes that make up the Apurena entity, this in order to provide protection for the properties, through intelligence work and thus create a measure of interaction directly with organized communities.
