Diosdado Cabello to the observers: You will have the authentic story

The deputy and first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, told the international observers of this Sunday’s presidential electoral process that the elections were not arrived at by chance and that they will have the authentic and first-hand account.

These statements were made during his speech at the meeting with more than 800 international companions held this Friday at the Simón Bolívar Convention Center, in La Carlota, Caracas.

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, leads the meeting that is being held with international delegations that are in Venezuela to follow the presidential elections next Sunday.

During his speech at the meeting, Cabello stressed that the eyes of the world are on Venezuela and indicated that this is a source of pride.

“In all countries there are elections without any problems, for some reason the beacons and eyes of the world are focused on Venezuela. This is not the first time this has happened,” he said.

Regarding the distorted versions that tend to be spread by various media, Cabello stated that “here in Venezuela there are elections every time the Constitution dictates it and here the people of Venezuela vote. Here the elections are not organized by the Southern Command, the State Department, the European Union; the elections in Venezuela are organized by the Venezuelan State through the National Electoral Council.”

In this regard, the deputy said that “these people decided not to surrender, these people decided to be free, and it is strange that there are people, countries and heads of government who are today worried about the situation in Venezuela because of the elections, but when the United States appointed a buffoon as president, they recognized it and now they are expressing their concern. On July 28, it is the people who will decide,” he emphasized.

They will not be able to subvert the order

In front of the international observers, the deputy described the series of violent situations that they have had to face for 25 years, including attacks against the Head of State.

He stressed that on July 28 “something beautiful will happen in Venezuela, those who believe they are going to subvert the order will be left wanting (…) , what I am seeing in our people are the glances, the hugs (…) If any act of violence occurs it will be from the opposition, I can guarantee you that the Venezuelan State will take the necessary measures to guarantee the peace of this electoral process and once again Venezuela will be an example for the world of how elections are conducted,” he warned.

Cabello said that at around 10 p.m. the CNE will give the results without any pressure.

“Please accept our warmest hugs and our deepest gratitude for your presence here, for coming to accompany us, for telling the world what is happening in Venezuela (…), welcome to Venezuela, this is your homeland, tell the world what you are going to see here,” Cabello exclaimed to the observers.
