The Republic contacted former Foreign Minister Miguel Rodríguez Mackey, who specified that the appointment of David Eduardo Gómez Boluarte is legal, as it indicates that the president’s son belongs to the diplomatic service of the Republic and graduated from the Diplomatic Academy precisely when he was serving. as representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Their departure abroad is the normality of the activities of career diplomats, in accordance with the organic law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the law of the diplomatic service of the Republic,” Rodríguez Mackay told this medium.
The professor of Political Science at the Antonio Ruíz de Montoya University, Alonso Cárdenas, confirmed what was said by former Foreign Minister Mackay and specified that “the Peruvian diplomatic service is quite professional and is characterized by being independent of political power.”
However, he described the fact as “a new mistake” by the president, which puts her even more against public opinion. “Beyond the legal formality, politically it does not add (to its approval) and tends to aggravate all the facts for which it is already being questioned,” he said.
