Dictatorship delivers to Minsa the facilities confiscated from the Humboldt Center

The regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, through the Ministry of Health (Minsa), will inaugurate on March 8 a women’s care center in the facilities of the Humboldt Center, an environmental organization that was outlawed by the ruling party in March 2022 and confiscated its offices in July of the same year.

The vice president and government spokesperson, Rosario Murillo, said in her usual midday communication this Wednesday that the care center will be named after Dr. Ligia Altamirano, and will be inaugurated on the date that International Women’s Day is celebrated.

“This is here in District I of Managua, by the José Martí Statue, and it will be delivered, as we said, on March 8, to attend to the health of the women of Managua,” Murillo said in the official media, without mentioning that the address where the center will work is the same one where the environmental agency used to work.

As detailed by the first lady, more than 600,000 women from the capital will be cared for in this center, who will receive gynecological care, pregnancy care, nutritional and psychological care. “There will be equipment for Mammography, Colposcopy, Cryotherapy, Bone Densitometry, ultrasound, Pap smears and all kinds of laboratory tests, among other services,” said Murillo.
