Díaz-Canel urges to strengthen social programs in Cuba

The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, urged today to strengthen the programs of the Revolution aimed mainly at prevention, assistance and social work.

According to the Cuban television news, the president stressed that these plans were devised by the historical leader Fidel Castro, which he described as the social base of the Revolution that demonstrates his humanist vocation.

Among the programs that are implemented are the comprehensive training of social workers and art instructors, as well as care for vulnerable families.

“They are a demonstration of how our socialist ideal is to achieve the greatest possible social justice,” he said.

In addition, he called for these projects to exist and work in the communities, at the same time, he stressed the importance of linking young people to study and work.

Cuba prioritizes popular participation as a way to promote the nation’s programs aimed at raising the quality of life of its inhabitants.

Díaz-Canel and other high-ranking officials in the country have insisted on the need to deploy a style of work in all government instances characterized by “going down” to the grassroots and knowing first-hand the aspirations of the population and seeking solutions to problems. .

At another time, the Caribbean president has called for applying the concepts of People’s Power created by Fidel Castro to enhance the work of the Government in vulnerable neighborhoods.
