Deputy D’Ecclesiis and his entourage suffer a traffic accident in Guayaibí

Around 18:30 this Sunday, a triple crash was reported at the height of the so-called Calle 2000 of Route PY08, towards the Guayaibi area.

The mishap involved a large Scania brand truck and two vehicles, a black Toyota Hilux and a Toyota Fortuner.

The Colorado deputy Freddy D’Ecclesiis was on board this last truck along with his son Luciano, Councilman Alan Rojas and another person named Iván Oviedo.

According to reports from the area, the Toyota Hilux -which was transporting the legislator’s entourage- was the one that took the worst part since it was rammed head-on, being trapped under the large truck with its occupants inside.

Apparently, the truck driver would have wanted to turn towards a service station located on the other side of the road, but without taking the proper precautions, causing a collision with the other vehicles, according to the C9N channel correspondent.

D’Ecclesiis was treated at the Santaní District Hospital and is stable, although as a precaution he and his son will be taken to the capital to receive medical assistance. Both are not seriously injured.

At this time the procedure is still ongoing in Guayaibí. Efforts are focused on rescuing the occupants of the other truck. It is not ruled out that there are deaths.
