The parents of Lineth Chama, the 16-year-old teenager whose whereabouts are unknown to date, went to the Public Ministry to hold a meeting with the departmental prosecutor of Santa Cruz, Róger Mariacawho received them in his office.
At the meeting, the parents delivered into the hands of the highest authority of the Prosecutor’s Office the documents and elements that they were able to obtain in these 49 days of searchingsince her disappearance, and asked to give priority to the investigation, since they still hope to find their daughter alive.
Mariaca ratified her commitment to continue with the investigations until the case is clarified and to find the whereabouts of the adolescent, in addition to prosecuting those responsible.
He said that different investigative acts were carried out, such as the security camera image collection of the places through which the minor traveled for the last time on May 9, 2023, on Busch Avenue.
“As the Public Ministry, different investigative acts were carried out, such as the collection of images from security cameras of the places through which the minor traveled for the last time, before her disappearance, the testimony of witnesses, the statements of those investigated, among others. elements accumulated in the investigation notebook”, he explained.
For his part, Daniel Lobo, prosecutor assigned to the case, explained that to date four people were identifiedwho would have been with the minor on the day of her disappearance, who acknowledged that they entered with the adolescent to the Ecological Cordon area, where there are precarious homes for people living on the streets.
In that area, according to the statement of the defendants, consumed controlled substances and alcoholic beverages. One of the detainees revealed that one of the group killed the minor and buried her near the house; however, the search was carried out and her body was not found.
