Despite the pessimism with which the retail sector received this new year, the Business of the industry are preparing to face in the best way the increase in consumption that occurs during the summer season, which directly impacts the generation of jobs.
In fact, according to figures from Go by Touch, a HR, Shopper Marketing and BTL services company, the demand for personnel to boost sales in the different summer campaigns increased more than 100% compared to 2022.
In this regard, José Luis Hernández, Country Manager of Touch Peru, points out “We have very high expectations for the remainder of the summer, especially considering that the restrictions of the health emergency are over. Proof of this is the project that we resumed in Asia, one of the most important points for retail at this time and where we provide services to different brands through our promoters, who have the mission of advising customers and supporting them in taking the best purchase decision.

The executive adds that among the key periods of work, the summer campaign represents a large volume, especially in 2023. “And it is that after two years of pandemic, companies are taking advantage of encouraging consumption, giving a boost to the sector and generating sales ”, ensures.
The personnel requirements for this period focus on young students between the ages of 18 and 25. “They must be flexible and results-oriented, as well as having the capacity to persuade, since they have the responsibility of providing close and personalized attention to the consumer, taking into account the large influx of people on the beaches of Lima,” he notes.
The working days are 7 hours with 2-hour breaks and income ranges from 100 to 140 soles a day, therefore, a weekend (Friday to Sunday) they can earn up to 420 soles.
In addition to Asia, districts such as Miraflores, Surco, La Molina, Lince, San Borja and Pueblo Libre, among others, are also requiring personnel to meet the daily demand for this season.
