In a video posted on the internet, the prosecutor said that he spent 18 years at the Public Ministry, but that the work to combat corruption has been weakened.

“I believe that now I can do more for the country outside the Public Ministry, fighting more freely for the causes I believe in. Sometimes it is necessary to take a step of faith towards our dreams. I have a lot of ideas about how I can contribute and I will be able to better evaluate, reflect and pray about these ideas after I leave the Public Ministry. As soon as these ideas materialize into plans and actions, I will share them with you,” he said.

In September last year, Deltan left the command of Lava Jato in Paraná after six years in office. At the time, he stated that he left for health reasons in his family.
