The Aire Fresco sector of the National Party held a coordination meeting this Saturday at the Atlántida Country Club for its campaign in favor of the “No” to repeal 135 articles of the LUC.

During the meeting, Delgado assured that there is nothing more important for the government or for the coalition or for the National Party or for Aire Fresco than “going out to fight and being consistent in defending what the citizens voted for.”

The government chief stated that when the ruling party begins to explain the content of the contested articles, “surely many people who voted for the Broad Front will not accompany them, because they will be able to separate what the referendum is, which has to do with how they want to live. of the national elections.

It’s not binary

In this sense, he stressed that the popular call is not something “binary”, that is to say that those who voted for the Broad Front will automatically vote ‘Yes’”.

Delgado stated that the 135 articles of the LUC, which are being challenged by the Broad Front and the PIT-CNT “gave the police the legal backing that allowed them to act and reduced thefts, homicides, robberies by more than 20% and almost a 50% cattle rustling”.

Regarding the questioning of number portability, he stated: “It turns out that public or private companies are now more important than the freedom of the citizen!”

He also stressed that before there were people waiting to adopt and now they are given a guarantee system through family courts.

Delgado questioned that after 15 years of prosperity and with their own majority, the Broad Front governments left a “complicated and lame” Uruguay. While the government coalition “avoided the health crisis with economic growth that will surely exceed 4%.”

“Even if they don’t say it, the ‘Yes’ promoters are questioning the ability to govern. This is on the edge of democratic quality, because we are governing because the people elected us. We have the right not to be put on the wheel and not continue to complicate the ability to govern ”, he pointed out.
