Delgado: “No one outside the coalition is doing well if the government is doing badly”

Delgado considered that social security reform is "an issue of political responsibility"

The secretary of the Presidency, Álvaro Delgado, gave his opinion on the exchange between the mayor of Rocha and the leader of Cabildo Abierto. Alejo Umpiérrez said that Cabildo Abierto became “a useful tool at the service of the Broad Front” and Guido Manini replied: ask him who gave them the votes to win the department. In this regard, Delgado said that “we have to look further, the people decided to change after 15 years of the Government of the Broad Front.” “No one outside the coalition is doing well if the government is doing poorly; Government support is essential.

On other issues, when asked about the new tobacco decree, he said “I don’t think there will be any changes” in reference to the policy against tobacco consumption. And he added: “it is to control smuggling.”

Regarding Charles Carrera, he stated that “it is an issue that is being handled by the parliamentary caucus.”
