The spaces of the Casa Amarilla, in Caracas, were the setting for the presentation on the “Geopolitical Transformations that are currently taking place, the resurgence of fascism in Europe. Perspectives and possible strategies”, as part of the activities derived from the International Summit against Fascism.
The activity was led by the Vice Minister for Europe, Daniela Rodríguez, the Vice Minister for North America and President of the Simón Bolívar Institute (ISB), Carlos Ron, and the Executive Secretary of the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World, Andreína Tarazón.
During the meeting they spoke about the world context around the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the repercussions for the region.
Likewise, they repudiated the interventionist actions of the United States Government and its allies, as well as their plans to promote the war.
The event was attended by intellectuals and international guests. The International Summit Against Fascism, brought together in Caracas nearly 200 guests from 52 countries around the world, in commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of the events of April 11, 12 and 13, 2002 in Venezuela, when factors of the national right executed a coup against then President Hugo Chavez.
For three days, international delegates discussed not only the resistance of the Venezuelan people against the 2002 fascist coup, but also agreed to join forces against fascism anywhere in the world. They also expressed a strong rejection of the expansionism of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and imperialism.
