“Having found a lifeless person within the search area for Debanhi Susana Escobar Bazaldua, the scientific evidence allows us to report that it is Debanhi, the cause of death being deep skull contusion.”
“At this time no line of investigation is ruled out, we will put all the resources in our hands to determine the events that have happened if they indicate a crime,” explained Prosecutor Gustavo Adolfo Guerrero in a video posted on social networks.
The person in charge of the Special Prosecutor for Missing Persons, Rodolfo Salinas de la Peña, also appears in the recording, stating that they have “accompanied the family at all times.”
The state official explained that according to the data collected by videos and testimonies, Debanhi went to the El Diamante farmhouse accompanied by two people. She then boarded a taxi and got off on the highway to Laredo.
“Aboard a private transport who has stated that Debanhi got out of the vehicle on Carretera Vía Numancia and Carretera Vía Laredo, at approximately 4:25 a.m.
Debanhi allegedly tried to communicate with someone, but no one could answer her.
