The Minister of the Interior, Eduardo de Pedro, and the governors of the Norte Grande region They will hold meetings this Thursday in Washington with representatives of the technology companies Microsoft and Space X, on the fourth day of their tour of the United States to seek investment.
According to official sources, during the morning of last day of the tour of the US capitalthe Argentine delegation will visit Microsoft headquarters, where company executives will present their broadband access initiative for remote communities of the large urban centers.
The officials will meet with Vickie Robinson, general manager of Airband and Germán Otalora, director of Airband for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Then, De Pedro and the National Director of Migration, Florencia Carignano, met will meet with the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs, Rena Bitteras part of a tour of the documentation center where the US government makes passports.
Next, the Minister of the Interior, the governors of the Norte Grande and the secretary general of the CFI, Ignacio Lamothe -accompanied by the Argentine ambassador to the United States, Jorge Argüello- They will tour the Space X offices, where they will meet authorities and experts to deal with issues of connectivity in remote areas and the aerospace industry.
On the other hand, the governors of Salta, Gustavo Sáenz; Jujuy, Gerardo Morales and Catamarca, Raúl Jalil, will hold a meeting on investments in mining at the State Department.
For their part, the leaders of Chaco, Jorge Capitanich; from Santiago del Estero, Gerardo Zamora and Formosa, Gildo Insfrán, will meet at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) with the president of the International Cotton Advisory Committee, Patrick Packnett.
Likewise, his peers from Misiones, Oscar Herrera Ahuad, and from La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela, will hold a working meeting with Eugenio Díaz Bonilla, director of the Latin American International Food Policy Research Institute.
At the end of the day, the delegation will undertake trip to New York City where they will continue developing the planned agenda.
The delegation is made up of the provincial leaders Gerardo Zamora (Santiago del Estero) Gildo Insfrán (Formosa), Ricardo Quintela (La Rioja), Raúl Jalil (Catamarca), Oscar Herrera Ahuad (Misiones), Gerardo Morales (Jujuy), Jorge Capitanich (Chaco) , Gustavo Sáenz (Salta); and, representing the province of Tucumán, the vice president of the Provincial Legislature Regino Amado.
Likewise, the National Electoral Director, Marcos Schiavi, is present for the Ministry of the Interior.
