David Cervantes, undersecretary of Sedatu, dies

The president was the one who broke the news through his social networks, where he assured that they had lost “a public servant of deep convictions and unquestionable honesty.” He also sent his condolences to the family. “I hug your family and friends,” he wrote.

The head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, also lamented the death of the Sedatu official.

Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard also lamented the death of his collaborator, when he was head of government of the Federal District.

“Undersecretary Cervantes Peredo worked with commitment and honesty for the transformation of the country from the territorial sphere, in agrarian, housing and social matters,” Sedatu said in a statement.
