Danilo Medina will swear in new members in Barahona

This Sunday, June 19, the former president of the Republic, Danilo Medina, who as president of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) will preside over the swearing-in ceremony for some 13,000 new members who join the purple party with the yellow star, in the so-called Pearl of the South.

This was confirmed by Radhamés Camacho, who is the Barahona Liaison with the Political Committee of the PLD, who together with the members of the Provincial Directorate, coordinate the swearing-in activity.

The swearing-in ceremony for the new members of the PLD is scheduled for mid-morning on Sunday at the Basketball Pavilion of the Villa Central Olympic Center.

The representations of the new PLD supporters from the municipalities and municipal districts of Barahon will arrive at the sports venue to officially enter the PLD.

“In the cut of the list of new members last weekend we registered thirteen thousand citizens of which the links of the party leadership in the municipalities and municipal districts, have in their hands the photographic register with their general data” he said Radhamés Camacho confirming the preparations for the activity.

The Intermediate Committees of the PLD in Santa Cruz de Barahona are preparing to participate in the activity, as well as the representation of the municipalities and municipal districts of the southwestern province of the country; which is part of the so-called Enriquillo Region.
