The administration of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo continues to make changes with their appointees abroad. This Wednesday, May 31, the regime dismissed the former leader of the National Union of Students of Nicaragua (UNEN) Isaac Lenin Bravo Jaenwhom he had as Nicaragua’s ambassador to Iran.
Through Presidential Agreement 60-2023 published in The GazetteOrtega annulled the appointment of Bravo Jaen as his representative to the Islamic Republic of Iran, where he remained for more than three years.
The Ortega diplomat held the position in the Islamic country since January 9, 2020, as stated in Presidential Agreement 02-2020.

The dictator Daniel Ortega also made official this Wednesday the appointment of Zhenia Ruth Arce Zepeda as its new ambassador to South Korea, who was the counselor minister in that diplomatic square since March 16.
“Name Zhenia Ruth Arce Zepeda, in the position of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Government of the Republic of Korea,” reads Presidential Agreement 61-2023.
The appointment of Arce Zepeda occurs after the Ortega Murillo administration removed from office since mid-March Rodrigo Coronel Kinlochwho is the brother of the Minister of the Interior (Migob), Amelia Coronel Kinloch and the former Nicaraguan ambassador to China, Ian Coronel Kinloch.
On March 16, the regime removed Coronel Kinloch from his positions as representative of Nicaragua before the embassies of Korea, Brunei, the Philippines, Australia and Thailand.
Nepotism
The Coronel Kinloch family has been a clear image of the nepotism that has generated institutional deterioration in Nicaragua, according to experts’ complaints, due to the corruption promoted by the Ortega-Murillo dictatorship.
Apart from Amelia, Ian and Rodrigo, another of the brothers who has represented the regime is Carlos Coronel Kinloch. His name was related to the Cooperative of Savings and Credit Caja Rural Nacional (Caruna), according to an investigation by La Prensa. Caruna, as an institution, was the secretary of the board of directors of Tichana Waters SA, a project that was born with the idea of supplying clean energy (hydroelectric) to Ometepe, one of the largest tourist attractions in the country.
In addition, the Arce family joins this line of nepotism, due to the fact that Zhenia Ruth Arce Zepedais the daughter of the current minister with consular functions before the Chilean embassy, Gadiel Francisco Arce Mairena; and sister of the Brazilian ambassador, Gadiel Osmani Arce Zepeda.
