Daniel Lopera argues that community boards do not meet the needs of citizens

According to Lopera, for some reason the community boards have been escaping from this responsibility of publishing the forms.

The executive director of the Independent Movement for Panama (Movin), Daniel Lopera, addressed this Monday the issue of the citizen campaign to demand the publication of the lists of the community boards.

He indicated that they handle a model template for requesting information, which any citizen can download by going to the Movin website.

According to Lopera, for some reason the community boards have been escaping from this responsibility of publishing the forms. “Many of the excuses they give is the lack of infrastructure of many community boards to be able to have that information,” she added.

He stated that the boards have handled millions of dollars and do not even have the money to be able to carry out their transparency management, which is an obligation by law, however, they also do not have to meet the needs of citizens.
