The daily positivity of covid-19 was placed at 20.88% when reporting 619 new infections detected in 2,964 first-time samples, the Ministry of Public Health reported today, highlighting that the lethality stood at 0.69%.
In the epidemiological bulletin 867, the institution indicated that of the total cases, only in the National District they reported another 280, in the Santo Domingo province 98 and 91 in Santiago.

The health authorities established that the active cases of covid add up to 1,633 while those registered are 631,040, of which 625,024 have recovered and 2,966,252 have been discarded.
Public Health specified that among the risk groups, 79,453 children under the age of 20 have been infected, as have 3,698 pregnant women and 3,576 health workers.

Likewise, it notified that the tests carried out yesterday were 4,581, of which 1,617 were made subsequent, for a positivity of the last four weeks at 11.65%.
Deaths from covid-19 remain at 4,383, of which 24.62% suffered from hypertension and 15.90% from diabetes, as a comorbidity.
He pointed out that hospital occupancy was placed at 4.0%, with 94 occupied beds of the 2,373 available to assist those who fall ill with covid.
It also reported that in the ICU units there are 19 people in serious condition, which is equivalent to 3.2% in an area that has 585 beds enabled.
