A few days before the end of the year, the Provincial Municipality of Espinar had only executed 66.1% of its resources to investment projectsaccording to data from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) as of December 26.
Until that date, the municipality had used almost S/136.9 million of the nearly S/207.2 million that made up its modified institutional budget (PIM).
In addition, of said budget, just over S/194.1 million came from transfers for canon, super-canon and royalties from mining and gas activities. And the execution of these last resources reached only 65.4%.
That is, of every S/10 contributed by the mining and gas activity, only S/6.5 were used.
The Convention and Chumbivilcas
A similar situation is observed in the Provincial Municipality of La Convención, which until the indicated date had used only 64.8% of its almost S/87.6 million allocated for projects. Similarly, the use of canon and royalty resources reached only 67.9% execution.
Another similar case, in the Cusco region, Chumbivilcas, a province that is home to the district of the same name that requests benefits from the Las Bambas de Apurímac mine. This shows an advance of 55% of the S/80.7 million that they had assigned. In this case, however, the use of canon and royalty resources showed greater progress, although only 79.4%.
This sad reality is even present in the Provincial Municipality of Cusco, where spending on investment projects has an advance of 66.9% and where the use of transfers of canon, supercanon, royalties and customs revenues is 67.8%.
Keep in mind
-At the level of the Regional Government of Cusco, the progress in the use of resources for investment projects is 76.7%, having used about S/639.5 million of the S/833.5 million budgeted for said objective.
-Tourism (52.6%), Education (50.4%), Health (50.3%), Energy (48.5%) are the sectors in which Gore Cusco has made the least progress in the use of resources for projects.
