He Cuban men’s team will open the Volleyball Nations League 2023 in Ottawa, Canada, home of one of the keys to the event in its first week, scheduled from June 6 to 11.
According to the specialized portal Hitthe Cubans will face off against the runner-up of the previous edition, the United States, as well as with Italy (4th.), Brazil (6th.), The Netherlands (8th.), Argentina (9th.), Germany (12th. ) and Canada (15th.).
In the other group, based in Nagoya, Japan, the teams of France (champion), Poland (3rd), Iran (7th), Slovenia (10th), Serbia (11th) will compete with the hosts (5th.), .), China (13th) and Bulgaria (14th), taking into account the information on the FIVB website.

The second week is scheduled for June 20-25 in France and the Netherlands. Cuba will have Brazilians, Slovenes, Argentines, Japanese, Bulgarians, Canadians and French locals as their adversaries in the city of Orleans.
For the last week (from July 4 to 9) of the preliminary phase, they will have to travel to Anaheim, United States, where they will face the French monarchs and the American runners-up, as well as representatives from Argentina, Germany, Bulgaria, Iran ( 7th.) and Serbia (11th.).
The League of Nations will bring together 16 teams by gender, there will be 104 matches between the preliminary and final phases and the teams will play a minimum of 12 challenges.
The eight best of each branch will participate in the final rounds and the teams of the host countries will have their places for the closing of the tournaments, scheduled in the United States from July 12 to 16 (F) and in Poland from July 19 to 23. (M).
The final phase will be played by direct elimination. The first classified will face the eighth in the quarterfinals, the second the seventh; the third to the sixth and the fourth to the fifth.
The winners will advance to the semifinals where the candidates to discuss the title and the candidates for the bronze medal will be defined.
