the vice president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner will speak today in the Buenos Aires city of Ensenada as part of the tributes of the Front of All (FdT) for the 48th anniversary of the death of Justicialist leader Juan Domingo Perón.
The event will take place at the Ensenada Municipal Sports Center starting at 4:00 p.m., with the motto: “48 years after the death of Perón: Argentina, politics and economy”and the local mayor, Mario Secco, will also participate, it was reported in a statement.
Perón died on July 1, 1974 at Quinta de Olivos -months after assuming his third presidential term in October 1973-, as a result of cardiac arrest derived from chronic ischemic heart disease.
He was succeeded by his wife, Vice President María Estela Martínez de Perón, who was overthrown by a coup on March 24, 1976.
