The Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is from this Friday officially a player of the Al Nassr team of Saudi Arabia, the Arab club announced on its social networks.

The former player, who comes from Manchester United in England, signed his new bond with the Saudi team for a term of two and a half years, so the contract will end in June 2025.

“The greatest athlete in the world has officially signed for Al Nassr FC,” the Arab team received in a statement released by the social network Twitter.

“I am impatient to discover a new football championship in a different country,” the 37-year-old attacker declared in his official account in the same medium.

The agreement will allow the footballer from the island of Madeira to receive just over 200 million euros, which makes him the highest paid footballer in the world, confirmed the Spanish sports newspaper Marca.

Ronaldo began his football career at Sporting de Portugal (2002/2003), then joined the squads of Manchester United of England (2003/2009 and 2021/2022), Real Madrid of Spain (2009/2018) and Juventus of Italy (2018 /2022).
