The Basic Sanitation Company of the State of São Paulo (Sabesp) informed that it decided, together with the city hall and the concessionaire responsible for the works on line 6 Orange of the Metro, Acciona, to fill with rocky material and mortar the crater opened today (1st ) in the works on the line on the Marginal Tietê, carried out by the concessionaire.
“After a meeting of technicians from the Secretariat of Metropolitan Transport, Sabesp, Acciona and the city of São Paulo, it was decided to fill the ventilation, circulation and emergency well (VSE Aquinos) with rocky material and mortar in the crater that opened. on the waterfront,” Sabesp said in a report.
According to the company, the intention is to stabilize the crater and the landslides, with a view to subsequent recovery of the pipeline, erosion and marginal. Pumps will drain the sewer.
This morning, the rupture of sewage ducts flooded the subway tunnel under construction and destabilized the ground, causing the landslide that reached the local roadway of Marginal Tietê, towards the Ayrton Senna highway. The cause of the pipeline rupture is still being investigated. The waterfront has only one of its three lanes open to traffic.
