The Ministry of Health updated the figures for positive tests and deaths from Covid-19 in Chile. Until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 4,297,144 cases of coronavirus were reported, with 10,672 new infections. Of these, 6,025 are symptomatic, 1,902 asymptomatic, and 2,745 unreported.
In the last 24 hours, 32 deaths have been reported according to the DEIS. To date there are 59,773 deaths associated with Covid-19. And 173 people remain hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 123 are connected to invasive mechanical ventilation.
In addition, on the last day, 72,903 tests were carried out, where a positivity rate of 14.93% was produced. To date, 42,408,504 have been performed, with a weekly positivity rate of 14.58%.
