COVID-19: Mexico adds 802 infections and 57 deaths in one day

COVID-19: Mexico reports 1,191 cases and 49 deaths in 24 hours

As for active cases, those positives that started symptoms in the last 14 days and that allow identifying where there is greater viral activity and consequently increased transmission, 4,381 are registered with an incidence rate of 3.4 per 100,000 inhabitants.

Regarding hospitalization, an occupancy of 4% is reported in general beds and 2% in beds with a ventilator, according to the statement from the Ministry of Health released this Saturday.

The unit supports the recommendations of the following basic hygiene measures:

  • People who suffer from: diabetes, hypertension, morbid obesity, kidney failure, lupus, cancer, heart and respiratory diseases, as well as transplants, older adults over 60 years of age, pregnant people, must make family shelter at home.
  • Keep a healthy distance, at least 1.5 meters away.
  • Use of face masks and frequent hand washing.
  • Ventilation in closed places.
  • Greeting from a distance, do not greet with a kiss, hand or hug.

However, in some states such as Mexico City, sanitary measures have already been eliminated, such as the filter at the entrance of public spaces, including temperature taking and antibacterial gel, due to the reduction in epidemic activity.
